Participation in the 2nd International Campus City of La Laguna with a lecture on poverty eradication from a human rights perspective.
The Special Rapporteur took part in the course on Democracy and Human Rights at the 2nd International Campus City of La Laguna.
Eradicating poverty as a purpose of the international community
Her lecture addressed poverty eradication as an essential objective that must be integrated into international human rights protection. It emphasised the relationship between democracy, human rights and the fight against poverty, as well as the need to strengthen social rights such as food, water, housing and an adequate standard of living.
