The Special Rapporteur meets with the Sambhali Trust team (India)
Meeting with the Indian NGO on poverty and extreme poverty eradication, human rights protection and the role of women.
On 7 August 2026, the Special Rapporteur met with the Sambhali Trust team, a non-governmental organisation working in India, to discuss efforts to combat poverty and extreme poverty and to protect the human rights of groups in situations of vulnerability.
The exchange paid particular attention to the role of women and to the importance of placing their experiences and leadership at the centre of responses to poverty.
